Austin & Sally Brown
The Founders Room
The Founders Room celebrates the life and legacy of Austin Brown and Sally Brown, noted equestrians who made Camden their home. This space features paintings, trophies, photographs, and personal mementos that honor their lasting contributions to steeplechasing. It serves as a tribute to Austin Brown, whose vision led to the creation of the National Steeplechase Museum.

The Timber Steeplechase Room
Dedicated to the tradition of timber racing, this room showcases artwork, trophies, and manuscripts that highlight this unique discipline of jump racing. The Timber Room also serves as the Museum’s media center, featuring audiovisual materials that bring the sport of steeplechasing to life.
Jonathan Sheppard
Sheppard’s Southern Campaign
All-time leading trainer Jonathan Sheppard left an indelible mark on the sport of steeplechasing. Jonathan Sheppard’s Southern Campaign explores his remarkable success on the Southern Circuit of the National Steeplechase Association. The exhibit features many of the prestigious trophies he earned at major race meets, offering a closer look at one of the sport’s most accomplished careers.

Upon entering the Museum, visitors are welcomed by a gallery of original equestrian artwork. This exhibition space features regularly rotating displays, ensuring there is always something new to discover.
J.V.H. Davis
The Memorial Library
The Library houses an extensive collection of racing-related books, ranging from biographies of legendary horses and riders to veterinary texts. It also features nineteen original Paul Brown watercolors depicting the 1929 Grand National, offering a rare glimpse into racing history.
Maxwell and Sylvia Wood and Southern Hall
Exhibition Hall
Located beneath the Museum’s signature rotunda lined with the silks of Eclipse award winners, this hall hosts major rotating exhibits updated each spring and fall. With two new exhibits every year, there is always something fresh to explore.
The Forego Exhibit Room
This space presents rotating mini-exhibits on a variety of topics, from legendary horses and historic events to Hall of Fame champions and defining moments in steeplechase history.
The Great Room
Serving as the Museum’s main event space and the gateway to the panoramic porch overlooking the racecourse, the Great Room features the Women in Steeplechasing exhibit as well as True Hearts, True Hands, an exhibit exploring the contributions of Black jockeys and grooms to the sport.
