The National Steeplechase Museum is a venue located in the heart of Camden, South Carolina, the state’s oldest inland town. This unique venue is the only museum in the United States that is dedicated solely to highlighting the history and legacy of steeplechasing. The museum traces the sport’s origins in the British Isles to the present day and pays homage to its great athletes, both equine and human. Along with hosting special events, the property also houses the Springdale Race Course on its sweeping and verdant grounds. With historic Springdale Race Course right off the back terrace, the Museum offers up a beautiful setting for weddings and parties of all types.

The guidelines for rental of the Museum and grounds have been developed with careful
consideration for the convenience of the renter and for the protection and maintenance of the property.

Museum Building & Grounds

The National Steeplechase Museum is situated on 450 acres and can accommodate up to 150 people. The quaint estate offers both indoor and outdoor sites, including on the lawns in front of the racecourse. The main room of the building features large windows, through which natural light bathes the hardwood floors. A striped awning spreads over the brick patio and shades your guests from inclement weather during cocktail hour. From here, your guests will be able to take in the breathtaking views of the racetrack. Tents can also be erected below the terrace for outdoor receptions. On warm summer nights, you can dine and dance late into the night underneath the picturesque skyline.

Full Day – 12-Hour Rental | $1,500

Best for Rehearsal Dinners, Weddings, Reunions, Large Parties, etc.
Rental includes time allowed to set up and break down.

Half Day – 6-Hour Rental | $900

Best for Rehearsal Dinners, Weddings, Reunions, Large Parties.
Rental includes time allowed to set up and break down within the 6 hour rental period.

Hourly Rental – Weekdays, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. | $250/hour

Ideal for business meetings, baby showers, bridal showers, and daytime functions.
Minimum of 3 hours.

The Board Room

The Board Room is located within the Museum. The space comfortably seats 16 people.

Hourly Rental – Weekdays, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. | $150/hour

Available for small, private meetings and gatherings.
Rental is a flat fee, not to exceed 3 hours. $25/hr for every additional hour.
